You need your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. The time of birth is important — the Ascendant (rising sign) changes approximately every two hours, and all house placements depend on an accurate birth time. Even knowing the approximate hour is helpful. If you don't have a birth time, we can still produce a substantial reading without house placements or the Ascendant.

Your birth time is typically on your birth certificate, or your parents may remember it. Some hospitals record it in medical records. If you were born in a country with a birth register, it may be available there.

Annual profections are a Hellenistic timing technique in which each year of your life — starting from your last birthday — activates a specific house of your natal chart. The house that is activated is determined by your age: at age 0 it is House 1, at age 1 it is House 2, and so on, cycling back to House 1 at age 12, 24, 36, 48, and so on.

The planet that rules the activated house becomes your "Lord of the Year" — the planet governing the dominant themes, opportunities, and challenges of the coming 12 months. If the Lord of the Year is well-placed natally (dignified, well-aspected), the year flows with support. If it is debilitated, combust, or heavily afflicted, the year's themes require more effort. Profections are one of the most reliable and specific timing tools in traditional astrology. Natal Heavy includes your current profection year and a dedicated next-three-years profection timeline (e.g. Age 53, 54, 55 — activated house and Lord of the Year for each). Natal Lite does not include profection timing by name.

Yes. Birth data is used to calculate your chart and generate your report. We do not sell it. For Consultation Session, birth details you enter for a sitting are used to compute that session’s chart. They are not kept on your member profile after the session ends unless you opt in to remember the chart (encrypted; you can forget it from your member account).

When you buy a paid Natal Lite, Natal Heavy, or Compatibility Report, we store a private report record on your member account — order birth details plus working notes from the reading — so Mara can remember your chart and what the report covered. Answers in later consultation then tend to continue from that work rather than starting from scratch. The record is never printed in the report or pasted into chat. You can view a summary and permanently delete it from your member account. Unclaimed records (a report bought before you register) are deleted after 180 days.
